Caroline Walters
Caroline Walters begins her third season as Head Coach for 805 Elite. She is the current Interim Head Coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
The West Coast Conference's all-time leader with 1,932 career digs and a three time All WCC Honorable Mention selection, Walters is owner of four of the top five single season per-game dig marks in Santa Clara history. Walters enjoyed her top collegiate campaign as a sophomore in 2005 when as her conference-leading 516 digs – the third highest single-season total in Santa Clara history – helped propel the Broncos to a program-record 27 victories, a West Coast championship, a berth into the NCAA Tournament national semifinals and a final No. 4 ranking in the AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll.
Statistically, Walters’ 4.93 digs-per-game mark recorded as a freshman in 2004 stands as the top single-season mark in Santa Clara history.
With Walters in the lineup, Santa Clara posted an 84-34 aggregate record, a 41-15 combined West Coast mark and failed to finish lower than third in the conference standings during any of her four seasons. Walters, a four-time program Defensive MVP selection and three-year captain, appeared in 421 of a possible 428 sets during her career. A native of Los Gatos, Calif., Walters earned a B.S. in accounting from Santa Clara last year.
Walters arrived on the central coast following a year stint as an assistant coach with the 18-Blue squad of the Los Gatos-based Vision Volleyball Club, where she helped with practice planning and on-court techniques and strategies.

Justin Hutchins
Justin Hutchins is in his second season with 805 Elite. Justin is an Assistant Coach on the staff at Cal Poly.
A native of Simi Valley, Calif., Hutchins arrived on the central coast following a three-season stint with the Orem, Utah-based Wolverine program (2005-06, 2008), where he served as technical advisor, defensive systems coordinator and as a recruiter. In conjunction with the physical education department, Hutchins also taught volleyball classes at Utah Valley University.
Hutchins, 33, spent the 2007-08 academic year as a volunteer assistant with the BYU men’s program, aiding the Cougar coaching staff with skill analysis and instruction, as well as video feedback and statistical tracking.
Hutchins has served as co-owner and director of Club Utah Volleyball since 2004. As program coordinator, Hutchins implemented and refined club philosophies and training methods, in addition to overseeing the organization’s coaching staff. In a coaching capacity with the club, he directed the 18s, 15s and 14s squads to various regional championships and Junior Olympics qualifying tournaments.
Hutchins’ 12-year coaching career also includes a decade-long association with the renown Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camps and Clinics where, in dispersing the organization’s training philosophies and methodologies, he served in various coaching and administrative capacities such as camp clinician, lead camp coach and employee recruiter.
Hutchins capped his collegiate playing career by helping the Utah Valley University men’s club team to a Division I national championship in 2001 and a third-place finish in 2002. Hutchins transferred to UVU after serving as captain and starting for Golden West College (1999-00) in Huntington Beach, Calif. |

Catie Smith
Catie begins her second year as a coach with 805 Elite. Catie is a starting Outside Hitter for Cal Poly.
2010 JUNIOR Played in 119 sets and started in all matches… Averaged
2.93 kills and 2.31 digs per set last season… 22 matches of
10 or more kills including her season-high of 19 kills on the road
at UC Irvine on Sept. 24…. Hit .152 for the year… Had
12 matches of 10 or more digs including season-high 20 at Pacific
on Oct. 16…Served up 42 aces and was credited with 44 total
blocks…

Molly Pon
Molly begins her second year as a coach with 805 Elite. Molly is an Outside Hitter for Cal Poly.
2009//FRESHMAN
Played in 26 matches and 78 sets… Averaged 2.01 kills and 0.27 blocks while hitting .146… Hit a season-high .375 (eight kills, 16 swings and two errors) against Seattle… Recorded five double figure kill matches with a high of 17 against Weber State.. She added 13 at BYU and 12 at Oregon State… She added two match of 10 kills each; Idaho and at Pacific… Set her season-high of 49 attempts in a five set match against Weber State… Had a season-high six digs in a three set match against UC Irvine and five digs in four sets against Oregon State… Had four matches of two blocks…

Kate begins her second year as a coach for 805 Elite. Kate is a Setter for Cal Poly.

Played in 34 sets as a true freshman dishing out 104
assists… Tallied three matches of 10 or more with her
season-high coming against Cal State Fullerton on Oct. 1 with
27… Added matches of 21 assists on the road at Cal State

Marianne Gera
Marianne begins her second year as a coach for 805 Elite. Marianne is a Middle Blocker for Cal Poly.
2010 (FRESHMAN)
Played in 19 matches and 58 sets as a true
freshman…. Averaged 0.57 kills and 0.60 blocks per
set…. Recorded season-high of six kills at UC Irvine on
Sept. 24th… Recorded two matches of six total
blocks … at BYU on Sept 4 and Montana State on Sept.

Jennifer Keddy
2010 (SOPHOMORE) :
Earned AVCA All-America Third Team as well as All-West
Region honors last season when she averaged 2.92 kills and 1.05
blocks per set… She also earned All-Big West First Team
honors when she dominated the conference with a .364 hitting
percentage… She recorded 25 matches with 10 or more kills
with her season-high of 19 coming against UC Santa Barbara…
She recorded two matches of eight blocks each and her all-around
game included 22 service aces… Keddy was selected
withan invite-only tryout for the National Youth Team at the U.S.
Olympic Training Center in the offseason...
